Ability to disable the changelog

When I add a comment, is there any way to pre-edit what shows in the comments – We would love to use that space for notes but every single action is noted and I feel like the real comments get lost!
I really don’t need to know that I just changed the color or moved the start date etc etc – I would love a space exclusively for notes
