Keep summed estimate in parent for complete Items

When an Item has child Items with estimates the parent Item's estimate becomes the childrens' summed estimates. But, when the parent Item is moved to Complete that summed estimation disappears. Why? It would be nice to keep it in order to see the total amount of completed story points at the top of the Complete column.
