No-edit mode for Custom fields

When Custom fields are used for specific KeyCodes, IDs, or links, it would be great to have an option to mark it a read-only. Meaning that the field cannot be edited, except maybe by the Workspace admin. This would be very usefull when we integrate Teamhood with other systems.
