Track time without task

Have the ability to track time without having to select a task to track it to and then add it later.
For example if I work on something but it doesn't have a name or a specific subtask for it and will only be able to create it and name it later, then currently I can't track time to it.
It would be nice to have a cache of tracked time that you can connect with tasks later.
